About Officer Shelley Upton:

Officer Upton joined the Department in 1988 working clerical and dispatch. She hired on as an officer in 1991, completed the Police Bicycle Academy and worked on the bike patrol and street level crime unit- SCAT. She was assigned then to the detective division where she worked seven years in the Special Assault unit. Prior to her transfer to PAL, Officer Upton was the downtown bike patrol officer as well as the Transit Center Officer. In July 2006, Officer Upton joined YPAL and is eager to work as a team to provide fun and safe activities for the kids of Yakima.
